Prior to joining HEI, Mike was the Vice President of IT Operations at Thayer Lodging Group, where he was responsible for overseeing the technology, systems infrastructure, and Audio Visual integration within the Thayer Lodging Group portfolio of hotels and the corporate office. Along with key project management, Mr. Dickersbach oversaw the daily IT operations of Thayer Lodging Group Inc., EMCVenues, and Thayer Insurance Group. In 2004, Mr. Dickersbach helped establish the Cloud presence of EMCVenues, allowing the company to become one of the first Meetings Management Company of its kind.
Prior to joining Thayer, Mr. Dickersbach worked in the Hospitality industry as a Systems & Control manager for Hilton Hotels as well as a restaurant manager for Doubletree Hotels. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University (magna cum laude.)
Along with his Certified Hospitality Technology (CHTP) designation, Mr. Dickersbach is a Comptia A+ and NET+ certified technician, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). His specialties include Project Management, Contract Negotiation, Windows Server, Exchange, Office 365, Shoretel, Juniper, Ruckus, IT Systems & Design, Budget Planning, Setup of IT for startups, Hotel Acquisitions, PCI Compliance, Dodd-Frank Compliance, PMS Systems, POS Systems, and BI platforms.
Within the industry, Mike is an active member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) Technology Task Force, sits on the Editorial Advisory Board for Hospitality Technology Magazine and is a former Chairperson of the American Hospitality and Lodging Association’s (AHLA) Technology and e-commerce advisory committee.
