Richard Warnick is the Managing Director and Co-Chairman of CHMW. Richard serves as an advisor to many of the world’s leading hotel and real estate companies, private investors, financial institutions and government agencies. He has been involved in virtually every aspect of the hotel industry for over 30 years, including operations, development, finance, brokerage and brand and business strategy. He is an industry thought leader and has authored numerous articles and chapters on hotel ownership and investment. Prior to founding CHM Warnick, Mr. Warnick was the principal at Warnick + Company, a consulting, asset management, investment banking, and development advisory firm with offices in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, and New York.
Prior to launching his companies, Mr. Warnick was a principal with Laventhol & Horwath and a development executive for two international hotel companies. He began his career in hotel operations and held senior level management positions with several noted hotel management companies.
He is a member and former co-chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hotel Development Council. He is also a past President and Chairman Emeritus of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and a current member of the Hotel Asset Managers Association.
Mr. Warnick currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Arizona State University Real Estate Council and is an owner and board member in RobertDouglas, a boutique investment bank focused on the lodging and recreational real estate industries.
